New! Van Eyck Marathon July 8-15, 2007
In honor of the 350th anniversary of the death of Dutch recorder player and composer Jacob van Eyck, we will play all of “Der Fluyten Lust-Hof” during the first week of the Amherst Early Music Festival.
The marathon is being organized by recorder faculty members from the Netherlands, Saskia Coolen and Reine-Marie Verhagen. Recorder faculty members and advanced students are invited to participate. Marathon playing sessions will be scheduled daily throughout the week. Stay tuned for more information!
