Audition Information

2014 Due dates for audition materials:

April 1  Opera Project, Baroque Academy Singers

May 1  Baroque Academy Instrumentalists, Ensemble Singing Intensive, Anonymous 4, and Recorder Special Programs

$30 Registration fee, registration opens January 1, 2014.

Recorder Special Programs, Baroque Academy (including Baroque Opera Project), Ensemble Singing Intensive, and Anonymous 4 Workshop.

Submit audition materials to: auditions@amherstearlymusic.org. Please include your name, the program(s) you are applying to, and voice type or instrument in the subject line, and a résumé and recording. If you need to send more than one email due to large file sizes, please label them "1 of 2", "2 of 2", etc.
 
Your résumé (pdf or doc) or a brief description (one or two paragraphs) summarizing your musical background and experience, including formal and informal musical training and education.
 
A recording (MP3 or MP4) with 10-15 minutes of music showing your technique, expression, and understanding of Baroque style. For 2014, please include a selection from a French composer if possible. 
The piece may be accompanied or unaccompanied. Please include the composer and title information in your submission.
 
Singers auditioning for the Baroque Opera Project should also include a head shot and a brief physical description: hair color, eye color, height, weight. Photographs (for singers) are accepted in any standard format.
