is comfortable in styles ranging from medieval to modern. While her studies have recently focused on early music performance, her experience began college and has included church choirs, pop a cappella, show choirs, chamber music, and solo work since then. Years of piano instruction molded her into a strong sight-reader and quick harmonizer, making her useful in any vocal situation. Her voice has been described as both “rich” and “smoky”. Cayla lives in the Austin, Texas area with her husband Steven, and performs regularly with the Texas Early Music Project
and the Schola Cantorum of St. Mary Cathedral.
