Week 2 Student Check-out Procedures

Faculty check your mailboxes for instructions, or contact Valerie Horst

Check-out is from 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Don’t be late!!
Empty linen carts will appear in the lobby of your dorm by Friday evening. Deposit your used linens (sheets, towels, blankets, etc.) bundled inside your pillow case into one bin and your pillow into the other.

Take everything out of your room and don’t leave anything in the bathrooms, whether shared or private. Trash may stay in the bin in your room. Double-check that you haven’t left anything!

Bring back ALL borrowed items to the check-out table in the Light Lounge in Seegers — lamps, fans, hangers, extension cords, and anything else (pillows, mattress toppers, etc.) that you borrowed from the housing office. Hand in your nametag with key and access card to Danny and Lisa in the Housing Office to get back your deposit.

Checking out BEFORE Sunday?

Get in touch with Danny or Lisa on Friday in the Amherst Housing Office (Seegers 109) to coordinate your check-out time! Housing staff are not available all day Saturday to check people out, so please plan ahead.

Saturday Housing Office Hours: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. | 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. | 12:30 - 12:45 p.m. | 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. | 5:30 - 5:45 p.m. | 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.  | directly after the faculty concert for a bit

Early Check-Out includes commuters and people who are leaving in the very wee hours of the night or morning! Let us know and we’ll coordinate your key-drop and return of your deposit. Anyone checking out early should follow the above procedures (Room empty, pillows and linens in their respective bins, and lamps/hangers/etc. back to the housing office).
