NLA Director, Mark Weinstein and his wife Lucy live in Bedford, MA near their son, daughter, and five grandchildren. Mark has been active as a dancer and dance organizer for the past thirty years, including both American contra and English Country dance. He is chairperson of the English Dance committee and vice-president of CDS Boston Country Dance. Mark is also an avid hiker, active gardener, and community volunteer. Prior to his retirement in 2020, he was a practicing internal medicine physician, managing partner, and chief of medicine for one of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish (subsequently named Northwell) hospitals. He looks forward to assuming the position of program director of NLA at AEMF 2026.
